Predicament:
LUSTING over Zadig & Voltaire's khaki gilet ever since I saw it in this month's Elle. The military feel, the versatile colour, the thought that it can be thrown over a feminine blazer or jacket to toughen it up. But am not going to part with £190 for it.
Solution:
Intending on snapping up this Dorothy Perkins parka in the sale (25 quid, my friends), and chopping off the rather lacklustre sleeves.

Therefore, I have more funds to put towards the delectable Whistles Wisteria jacket (indulge here) for underneath my new gilet. It's all in the maths.
