#Oscars2013

Oscar Monday.  I LOVE it.  Checking the dresses as soon as the alarm goes off.  Only this year I'm under a duvet, coughing, on painkillers and therefore a little behind.  So you've probably all seen them, I'm not exactly breaking any news here, but here are my favourite looks from last night - both the obvious and the more under the radar.  Usually I'd analyse one by one but my heads too blurry.  Sorry guys (poorly blogger = crappy blogger) x

Shirts are a current craze for me.  Worn under a jumper, undone over a T, or letting it shine by itself with a simple pair of jeans, the shirt is one of the most wearable pieces you can own and Glamorous has a fantastic selection.  Here are some of my faves.

#ff (Fifi Friday)

Outfit Alert!!  Fifi, our lovely Sports intern, is always mixing trends with classics with quirky touches.  In fashion maths that equals daily fashion fun.  I had to show you today's ensemble.  A brilliantly nostalgic T, with good ol' faithful denim and leather, sales-find shoes and a statement necklace.

Leave Your Hat On

Beanies are everywhere - in the magazines, on the catwalk and on the front row.  Especially the latter.  It's one of those trends that started on the streets (basically Shoreditch peeps are to thank/blame) and has caught the attention of high end designers around the world.    Take note, this is not a lovely 'cosy' girly style bought from the likes of Accessorize.  This is oversized, masculine and slick.  And I'm currently obsessed with mine. It adds instant cool points to the most basic of outfits or dresses down something too smart.  It's a soft charcoal androgynous style from Topshop that's no longer online.  Bummer.  So instead here are ten of the very best.  Do as the fashion fold do and purchase.

#topshopuniqueaw13

It was heavenly...
Mohair, fuzzy felt, fluff were teamed with high shine and you want to touch EVERYTHING from today's Topshop Unique show held at the Tate Modern.  The 90's trend from this Spring Summer has carried over and the midriff was the area to flash. There were also glimpses of 70's Ali McGraw campus prep in ochre, orange and fawn.  Big, bulky, gloriously thick coats hung over sheaths of sequins and as previously mentioned in Overheard the high street giant turned up the technological heat and made this show a MUST see.    PS.  Loving the whole holding big bags like clutches thing.  Serious cool points.

A Day in Pics

St Valentine cut me a pretty sweeeeet deal.

A gift from my best office friend, lovely Lizzie.

Some lucky journos received a loaded Starbucks card to get them through fashion week from gorgeous underwear brand Scandale.  This is as good as my penmanship gets!

Onto lunch at Ping Pong with the super fun fashion girls from The Sun.  St Katherine's Dock was like escaping London for an hour and a half.

Loving the various baked goods the office girls picked up at Konditer & Cook in Borough Market.

Then onto Guaca, a secret little gem in Fulham Broadway.
Sombreros, much food, and sooooooooo many frozen cocktails.

Quesadillas, enchiladas and tacos. Oh my.

Carla and Char, who I adore.

My funny Valentines xxx

On Friday Carla and I had the off which was fortunate due to the epic pain in the head region.
As I missed pancake day, there was only one option for breakfast.
