Holiday Hotlist

Well the holiday's almost over and as if going back to work wasn't ominous enough, it looks like the weather is going to be dire for the rest of the week.  A sweaty, crammed commute is one thing, but a sodden, soaking, miserable commute is quite another.  Especially if, like me, you have purchased a few Summer essentials and are dying to take them out for a test drive.

If there are any lucky readers who are about to set sail (or, as customary, simply take a plane) to warmer climes, here is my top picks for apparel abroad.  Oh, and I sneaked in a Devon option too, just in case!

Perfection in Provence
If your holiday is just a hop, skip and a ferry away in France, pay
homage to Brigitte Bardot with this fabulously French
breton dress.  The curves, the exposed shoulders - simply backcomb
your hair, throw half of it messily up and pout.

Salcombe Sailing
This adorable little number has all of the necessary attributes to make it a fully fledged sailor dress. A boat print, rope detail and a splash of stripes.

Heavenly Hawaii
This will look sensational with a tan and an exotic flower tucked behind one ear.

The Maldives Maxi
Float around in this incredible maxi when the heat drops.  The colour is
ocean-like, the zig zag print make it look pricey and I love how the skirt starts
at the hips rather than under the bust like so many maxi dresses

We're going to Ibiza
When I first laid eyes on this playsuit it was love at first sight.
Two different dazzling scarf prints, a frilled plunge, a cute bow at the bust and a flash of stomach.
Sexy as hell, and could have walked straight off the D&G catwalk.  I just gave it
to my best friend for her birthday - it looks AMAZING on.  Team with stacked, wooden heels.

California Girls
From H&M's limited edition For Water collection, this dress was made for an episode of Mad Men, if said Mad Men were relocated to advertise from a beach side office.
With all those palm trees, it has to be for California.

Roman Holiday
Another 50's shape, this sweet little sun dress is made for good girls.
The sunny colour, the little belt and buttons.  It all combines to promise a
holiday romance culminating in a kiss in front of the Colosseum.

Out of Africa
Post safari chic.

Greece is the word
A clean, draped fabric always makes me think of Grecian goddesses.  This heavenly dress is so effortless and looks super sexy for holiday evenings with a nude heel.

Caribbean Kaftan
Where Winter is the time for fur, leather and neutrals, Summer allows us to go extreme - for example, TIE DYE.  I love, love, LOVE this.  Flats and a bikini for day, wedges and a bronzed cleavage for night.  Magnificent.
