Festival Fashion

Ok, so Glastonbury's done and dusted and as a result the friends that were all unavailable last weekend are all now knackered and sickly this weekend.  But this is just the beginning.  Lovebox, Wireless, V, Reading, Bestival...they're all to come.  And so here is Love Lust Like's guide to festival fashion.

The playsuit is an integral part of the festival kit.
Easy to throw on, looks great, a doddle to dress up or down.
This fantastic fedora from Miss Selfridge will look sensational in the winter,
but works just as well with Summer wear and ensures serious cool points.

Leather jacket - Whistles
Leopard print plimsolls - H&M
Sunglasses - Zara
Fedora - Miss Selfridge
Perspex clutch - New Look
Nail varnish in 'Green Room' - Topshop

I'm obsessed with this River Island kimono.  Obsessed.  Over swimwear, over a bodycon dress or over cut offs as above.  (As an aside, if you haven't visited the new Marble Arch store, get down there sharpish.  It's incredible.)  The kimono is appropriately bohemian but I've added some masculine rough touches to keep it from looking too dainty.

Denim cut offs - H&M
Vest - H&M
Plimsolls - Superga
Flower head band - Rock N Rose
Rucksack - Accessorize

My newest discovery, Bill and Mar offers the perfect festival dress.  Lightweight, comfortable but totally lust worthy.  The body con shape balances out anything oversized you may need to throw on when it gets chilly so I've teamed it with a guy's hoodie in classic grey marl.  Wear ankle boots (the battered, the better) and you're good to go.

A slogan tee is an instant way to add fun to any outfit.  They give off vibes of attitude and fearlessness, and can often prompt conversations depending on what you're getting off your chest.  This one from Off Dutee sits brilliantly with wildly floral Topshop shorts.

Flower head band - ASOS
Nail varnish in 'War Paint' - Topshop

This is Britain.  Let's face it, we're never going to be safe from showers.
Plastic was a mega hot trend for this Spring Summer and luckily it's terribly
practical for festivals.  I literally never want to see an anorak again.  Ever.
Instead, head to good ol' Topshop and get a neutral mac so you can wear colour
and prints underneath.  The flower headband is still going strong and
looks beautiful with disheveled festival hair.  This one from ASOS is my favourite
but Rock N Rose still leads the way in this trend with their covetable 'crowns'.

Rain mac - Topshop
