It's that time again. Love Lust Like highlights the key trends for the upcoming season to get your Spring Summer juices flowing. Currently fashion journalists around the world are looking to Autumn Winter 13 following the shows, analysing the trends and apprehending the Burberry heart prints and global vibe at Chanel. I've said it 100 times - I'm very pro Autumn Winter, Spring Summer just doesn't hold the same fascination for me but even for the most die hard winter fan, there is a concoction of wonderful trends gradually hitting the high street that we first saw last September. Strap in....
Monochrome
The mega trend. It is EVERYWHERE. Everything must be sharp - crisp white, jet black, strong geometric lines and shapes. Louis Vuitton did this best against a back drop of buttercup yellow. Pay homage with a splash of daffodil nail varnish. Tip - if you look like people could play chess on your outfit you're doing well.

Designer Double Take
How could you resist Prada for a fraction for the pennies?! This is a DEAD ringer from Glamorous.com.
Plastic Fantastic
This trend to me is pure unadulterated fashion fun. It's colourful, its flashy, it mimics quality street wrappers. Enveloping an intricate evening dress with an almost trashy high-shine film in the form of a coat, I think is simply fabulous. The designers have given every-day, mundane, cheap old plastic a serious fashion makeover and made it the desirable material of the moment.

How can a catwalk copy be so good?! The fashion press are going CUCKOO over this Marks and Spencer version of the above shirt from Burberry Prorsum. I can't find it online, probably because it's selling like hot cakes, but go to the big stores like Marble Arch and have a fashion fight for it.
Likewise, this skirt from Monki is a gem. Cheap as chips and SO modern and cutting edge. Team with a luxurious grey marl T and you're laughing.
90's
Layering, messy, intoxicating, addictive grunge. The 90's is the decade to mimic this Spring Summer with dungarees winning the dark horse award for biggest trend piece. Henry Holland ignored the dank, dark, moody colours that are always linked with grunge, and instead injected an explosion of colour and premium tie dye into the mix. The full length rave slip - exquisite. Crop tops, music references, tartan and flannel. The 90's is suddenly uber cool.

The Detail
The dreaded accessory that no one predicted to have a comeback. But the scrunchy is EVERY wear. The Fashion Editors are wearing them for cryin' out loud. And whilst I get lost in the fantasy of the shows, I am no trend whore. A scrunchy will not be getting anywhere near my hair. Sorry.

Neon
Models sashayed down the catwalk in vivid bursts of fluorescent colour and whereas other trends will take a little time and some better weather to hit the masses, neon has already started hitting the streets. It's undeniably bold head to toe but the easiest way to channel this look is to buy neon knitwear. Chunky yarns of highlighter coloured wool look so sharp against denim or leather. Go for it.

Sheer
This trend was key at the shows. From sheer shirts, to skirts to oversized panels where least expected. It's naughty, but in softly softly colours and feminine shapes, it's also pretty nice. Extra points go to Giambattista Valli for the warm rose ensemble with sheer pencil skirt. Sheer genius (sorry, I had to.)
