Bijoux Bazaar - The Facts

I love finding a new brand.  My own little secret.  Until I tell everyone about it.  And Bijoux Bazaar is the most recent example.  I happened upon a blog and saw some earrings.  And I wanted them, BAD. 'Eurgh they're going to be J Crew' I thought to myself already punishing myself for not being able to afford them.  Then lo, I clicked to discover that these delectable trinkets were the creations of a label I could afford?  It was a pre-Christmas miracle. Here is my round up of the best pieces from Bijoux Bazaar although ALL of it is pretty damn fine.  And they're all pretty big too.  Yep, statement jewellery for the girl who's bank statements make her feel queazy.

Earrings

These have really helped me with my chandelier cravings
(I must tell you smugly that I feel I bought the best ones).

Cuffs
The perfect wrist candy.  Bejewelled and destined to be stacked.

Necklaces
The best bit.  Oh WOW, look at these.  Look how big and wonderful and expensive they all look.
I.  Want.  Them.  All.

(my favourite!)

My first purchase
Tortoiseshell + diamante + blue + green = HEAVEN
I'm wearing them as I type.  And they make me feel lovely.
Thanks Bijoux Bazaar, keep up the ridiculously good work xxx

Picture Diary

My, you have to be disciplined to keep up with a blog when your day job is all you can think about. And I've never been very disciplined.  So here is what I've been up to over the last few weeks via the wonder that is instagram...

I spotted the most eligible van driver in London. Was tempted to ask him out.

I faced my fear and got pierced.  In Camden.  In front of cool people.  And I cried.

Tested out media hot spot Balthazar of NYC fame.  Fabulous.

Halloween-y trinkets at work.

Sunday nights have been spent illuminated by candles.  Ah, Diptyque - you overpriced beauties.

Spotted a business card that I love.  No contact details. Uber cool.

My fabulous friend Jen on the cover of The Times Magazine.  Yes the COVER  #fame #lovethehat

Christmas lights by day.

Christmas lights by night.

Couldn't find the perfect red black shade.  So I mixed two.  DIY mani.

My housemate's birthday present.  Who would re-wrap this when it already looks so incredible?  Packaging (and gift) courtesy of & Other Stories.

I always find cool things with my BFF Carla, it's like she's a magnet for coolness.
Here's a secret little gig we happened upon...

...with street food and mulled wine...

...and amazing decor.

Oh, and the band was pretty good too.

Movember coffee cups.

The view from my desk.  Seven Dials lights are the best.  Fact.

Ribbon selfie.  To distract from hair that needed a wash.  Big time.

SS14 - Love Lust Like's List of Loveliness

Dear readers, I am under no illusion that this is the first time you will be seeing this imagery.  The Fashion Weeks are so well documented from the papers, to online, not forgetting twitter and instagram. But I wanted to share with you my highlights, my lustworthy pieces and the pics that I saw whilst glued to my iPhone and consequently took screenshots of.  My Camera Roll is now chocka block with SS14. Happy daydreaming of warmer times...

The Looks

Ashish
It's not the street style clothes I want to draw your attention to.  It's these carrier bags. GENIUS.
The brand have taken two major supermarket logos, recreated them in sequins and
turned 'Tesco' into 'Disco' and 'M&S' into 'S&M'.  A-mazing.

Alice & Olivia
Beautifully cute.  And so wearable.  I love the statement full skirt mixed with a little tennis top.

Burberry Prorsum
Ok.  So this is the show.  THE. SHOW. The show to watch live, the show to walk, the show to be seen on the frow (if you don't know that this is an abbreviation for front row, please stop reading this blog.  Like, now).  The sweet, sugary colours make me salivate, the knickers peeping from underneath the lace make me wrongly excited.  And the KNITWEAR.  Soft, simple, chic - pure unadulterated bliss.  Bravo Burberry.

Christopher Kane
Sweater + skirt = cool.  Just fyi.

Emilia Wickstead
So elegant, in the most mouth watering colours.  I love the bold stripes that ran throughout the collection.

Erdem
The combination of fragile lace with almost uniform high necked collars - I love these looks from Erdem.  And all to the backdrop of a magnificent grand piano.

House of Holland
The first dress is begging to be taken on holiday.  Inspired by Mexico by way of Venice Beach.

Matthew Williamson
Impossibly pretty with three dimensional floral details.

Mulberry
Emma Hill's final show for this mega brand complete with Mulberry-clad dogs and It bags.
Wait 'till you see the invite...

Temperley London
When you see a look like this you curse yourself for never thinking to mix lilac lace with leopard print.  WHY?!  It's just SO GOOD.

Topshop Unique
Navy printed dress with a mustard sandal?  Yes please.  And my most coveted piece?  The yellow jumper.  Slightly cropped, big on the shoulders, skinny on the wrists.  Gimme.

The Details

The designers get it.  To get people talking, to get that social media CARNAGE you need the details.
Those final touches which make a show an event.

Mulberry do this season after season.  Cute little cordial bottles.  Branded, obviously.

And the invite of the season.  Everyone tweeted this invite.  Everyone.
Collaborating with fellow quintessentially British brand Wedgewood
these teeny tiny Mulberry cups and saucers were sent to press and guests.

At Matthew Williamson, the clever people offered social media savvy sweets.  An instant instagram hit.

Oh Anya.  The space theme, the lollipop invite and the genius collaboration of Anya Hindmarch and WALKERS.  WALKERS?!  Bespoke crisps that actually got the fashion press eating?!

And finally, at Erdem, beautiful perfect little hydrangea posies for all attendees.

And Paris is next.  Look out for me report later this week x
